This page is being created as a landing page for all the videos I have created for the Veterinary Students as part of a suturing workshop.
The course is designed to help veterinary students develop hands on practical suturing techniques they can use in general practice. The techniques we chose to teach, are the ones we commonly use in surgical scenarios.

Myself and Dr David Cook, as well as two of our star surgical interns Dr Jason Wang and Dr Victoria Hudson from Veterinary Specialist Services, are volunteering our time to teach this course, as we want to give back to the next generation of surgeons.
The techniques are as follows:
Slip Knot
Knotless end to an intradermal line of suturing
Fingertrap suture
Far-near-near-far (FNNF) suture
Enterotomy closure
Intradermal suturing
Basket technique to examine the abdomen during exploratory celiotomy
Approach to the abdomen in a male dog
Incisional gastropexy
Exploratory celiotomy tips
